Katie Hait, MA
Therapist
Hello! I’m Katie, a mental health therapist who helps people feel safe, seen, and supported.I work with clients of all ages, from early childhood through adulthood. With kids and teens, I use a playful, compassionate, and relational approach to support big feelings, tough transitions, anxiety, trauma, or neurodivergence. We often use creative tools like art, movement, games, and storytelling to build emotional connection and regulation. I regularly partner with parents to support their role in the process. With adults, I help navigate the complexities of stress, identity, and healing within their own stories. No matter your age, my goal is always to create a warm, connected space where growth feels possible and support is steady.
My path to therapy began during my first career as a public school teacher, where I spent seven years teaching and was trained in Conscious Discipline. That experience sparked my curiosity about regulation and what the brain needs before it can truly learn. I went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health from the University of Minnesota. During my internship, I worked with children, teens, and adults in their homes and communities. I’ve continued that work as an outpatient therapist ever since.
I love partnering with caregivers and schools to create consistent support across home and classroom settings. Parents often share that they feel at ease in the therapy space I offer because I understand how hard it is to carry everything while still wanting the best for your child. I also collaborate with teachers to better understand a child’s school experience and to suggest helpful modifications. I believe in the healing power of connection and in helping kids, and the adults who care for them, feel more regulated, hopeful, and empowered.
I am pursuing licensure and am under the supervision of Sheila Anderson, LMFT. If you think I might be a good fit for supporting you or your child, please reach out. I’d be happy to offer a free 15-minute consultation so we can connect. Take care!
